Flora Europaea biennal, T to perennial, H, 2n= 24 xeric-mesoxeric steppe and forest-steppe species Pannonian - Pontic - Caucasian Festucetalia valesiacae, Festucetalia vaginatae, Onopordetalia R34, R16 continental habitats, R87 In Romania frequent in the forest-steppe areas outside the Carpathian basin of Transylvania     A xeric-mesoxeric steppe and forest-steppe species well represented outside the Carpathians but absent from Transylvania. Not so rarely found on continental sand dunes or as a ruderal. Pictures taken in between Ramnicu Sarat and Buzau cities, Buzau county, not far from the highway (DN 2) on 11th of August 2006 dr.
